Man Ain't Said My Name by Brian Rhodes

Grade Level - 2

"Man Ain't Said My Name" was written at the request of my good friend Don Colquitt. Every year, Mr. Colquitt conducts jazz band clinics and he wanted a cool Memphis style r&b (Al Green like) tune to add to his clenic repertoire. This tune is fairly easy and has a great groove. The ranges are well within that of high school players. Solo changes are in the alto saxophone and the solo section may be repeated to feature piano or guitar.

Instrumentation: 5,4,4,4
Range: (C1=Middle C)
Trpt. A2, Tbn. F1

Piano: RH - Voicings, LH - Chord Chart
Bass: Written out with chord changes provided.
Style: Happy Memphis R & B
