Ice Is Nice by Brian Rhodes

Grade Level - 2.5

"Ice Is Nice" is an easy, straight ahead swinger for big band. It was written in an attempt to write something laid back and cool, as opposed to many of my other arrangements which can be quite intense. The chord progressions are a little out of the ordinary, but not too weird. The solos are written for the first alto and first trombone. Overall, the style should be light and easy, with careful attention to the balance throughout.
