Think of bad private investigator movies and you'll get the idea for the style of this easy, minor swing tune for big bands. DJ is the nickname if Dick Eckstein, the fearless leader of the Texarkana Jazz Orchestra. Dick is a terrific trombone player and a great band leader, and the TJO graciously reads all my big band charts. The solo section may be opened up to anyone who wants to play some C minor blues. |
