  Changing Lanes by Brian Rhodes

Grade Level - 3.5

"Changing Lanes" is a fast rock tune I wrote specifically for jazz band a few years ago. The writing style is heavily influenced by the Rippingtons and their leader Russ Freeman. It uses several fast moving changes that frequently move on the upbeat and change rapidly. The solo changes are pretty tough to navigate, since there are so many chords that move quickly. The changes are written for first alto and first trombone. Auxiliary percussion is encouraged. This tune would make a great high energy opener to any jazz band concert.

Range: (C1=Middle C)
Trpt. C-sharp 3, Tbn. A1

Piano: RH - Voicings, LH - Chord Chart
Bass: Written out with chord changes provided.
